Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our submetering solutions and services.
How do I choose the right meter for my electrical system?
Selecting the correct meter depends on your voltage, phase (single, split, or three-phase), and the amperage of your service. We recommend checking our selection guide or consulting with a licensed electrician to ensure compatibility with your panel.
What is the difference between your smart meters and standard digital meters?
Our smart meters, like the Omnimeter series, are capable of remote data reading via the EKM Push system. Standard digital meters provide local readouts only, while smart meters allow for cloud-based monitoring and automated billing.
Do you ship internationally and what are the costs?
Yes, we ship our metering products worldwide. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the weight of your order and the destination country. Please note that international customers are responsible for any local customs duties or taxes.
What is your return policy for electronic components?
We offer a 30-day return policy for unused items in their original packaging. Because our products are precision electronics, returned items may be subject to a restocking fee if the factory seal is broken or if the unit shows signs of installation.
Are your meters revenue-grade and utility certified?
Most of our meters are designed to meet or exceed ANSI C12.1 and C12.20 accuracy standards. Many models are California Type Approved and NTEP certified, making them suitable for legal-for-trade billing applications.
What kind of technical support do you provide after purchase?
We provide comprehensive technical support via email and phone. Our online Knowledge Base also contains wiring diagrams, spec sheets, and step-by-step configuration guides for all EKM Push and Omnimeter hardware.
